Ncb Goes To Ndps Court Against The Bail Of Bharti Singh And Harsh

Friends, comedy actor Bharti Singh and her writer husband Harsh Limbachia may have difficulties. The Narcotics Control Bureau has moved the special NDPS court against the bail of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachia. The NCB has not only demanded the cancellation of Bharti and Harsh’s bail but has also sought permission to interrogate the two in custody bypassing the lower court order. The court has issued a notice to the couple on Tuesday. The case can be heard next week.

Bharti and her husband Harsh were arrested by the NCB on 21 November. As per PTI report, 86.50 grams of hemp was recovered by NCB from their house in the raid. Bharti was arrested on 22 and Harsh on November 23 by the NCB on charges of taking cannabis. The NDPS court sent both of them to judicial custody till 4 December. Both were granted bail by the Magistrate Court on a bond of 15,000 rupees.

On November 23, the NCB sought Bharti’s judicial custody and Harsh’s remand, but the court sent both to the judicial custody. The court had said that the hemp found in the house-office of Bharti and Harsha was in small quantities. This is just a use case, so police custody is not required. The court also said that under the sections under which both have been arrested, there is a provision for punishment of only one year, so remand is not necessary.

Section 27A of the Narcotics Act-1986 has been imposed on Harsh. That is, the streams of finance and transportation of drugs have been imposed.

On Saturday, 86.5 grams of ganja was found from Bharti’s home and office in NCB Red. She confessed to taking cannabis with her husband Harsh.
